‘Pick Of The Bunch’ is the interface between the Indian and Australian wine markets. We offer specialised wine market and cultural knowledge and we will supply our Indian hospitality clients with confidence in wines that offer premium award winning fullness of flavour and clean fruit driven characters – new world style, quality wines to be enjoyed as a part of the rising everyday Indian modern lifestyle. Australian wine suppliers can feel confident in knowing we offer personalised, experienced and detailed service to a complex marketplace that by all indicators shows tremendous potential.
‘Pick Of The Bunch’ – was formed by directors Darren Centofanti and Adam Bruzzone after many travels throughout India with their Indian wives and realising it was impossible to get a good bottle of Australian wine - at any cost. If indeed wine was located it may have been an uncelebrated ‘old world’ brand (at indeed an astronomical cost). The thought became to promote strong Australian brands with recognised award winning quality to this new marketplace.
Both directors have extensive backgrounds in the marketing and advertising fields (and indeed in the photographic arena where they have been recognised leaders for over 15 years). As businessmen they identified a niche wine marketing opportunity in the large, mostly unexploited, yet burgeoning wine market of India. Similarly both business partners have a strong feel for the culture through their family connections as well as many already established business ties to the country.
Much detailed market research, personal investment as well as extensive wine presentations to various well-informed Indian wine clients, (such as 5 hotel chains and leading restaurants) has been initiated.
The original thought that new world flavours and Australia’s confident winemaking approaches were to surely appeal to this market - a market that via it’s resplendent cuisine can easily identify with these bold and fuller flavoured styles of wine - has indeed been borne out.
Each director lives and manages the head office in each trading country as well and for this reason there will always be both a managerial presence and personal service ‘on the ground’ in both countries.
